MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517044894 A) filed by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Guangdong, China, on May 9, for 'method for determining length of ldpc codeword in uwb system and related apparatus.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present application relates to a method for determining the length of an LDPC codeword in a UWB system and a related apparatus. The method comprises: a communication apparatus determining an LDPC code length according to the length of an information bit to be encoded; when the length of the information bit is 0 to L1 selecting an LDPC code of 648 bits; when the length of the information bit is L1 to L2 selecting an LDPC code of 1296 bits; and when the length of the information bit is L2 to 648 selecting an LDPC code of 1944 bits. By using the embodiments of the present application a better performance gain can be obtained and the code rate loss can be reduced. The present application is applied to a UWB based wireless personal area network system a sensing system etc. comprising 802.15 series protocols such as an 802.15.4ab protocol or a next generation UWB protocol thereof. The present application can also be applied to a wireless local area network system for 802.11 series protocols such as 802.11be or the next generation thereof i.e. Wi Fi 8."
