MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541007224 A) filed by Fixity Green Private Limited, Kondapur, Telangana, on April 29, 2025, for 'method for extraction and recovery of gold from metal mixtures.'

The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An integrated process and plant are disclosed for extraction, recovery and purification of gold from metal mixtures including jewellery scrap, e-waste concentrates, dore and gold-bearing alloys. The process includes aqua regia leaching with gas scrubbing; chemical reduction of tetrachloroaurate using ferrous sulfate or sodium metabisulfite; filtration, washing and drying of precipitated gold; induction smelting with flux near 1,064 C and casting; and neutralisation and effluent treatment. Operations are controlled by a PLC-SCADA system for automated dosing, temperature and pH control, and safety interlocks. A plant handling about 500 kg/h includes parallel reactors, precipitation tanks, filtration units, furnaces and scrubbers, achieving about 96-98% recovery and up to 99.99% purity."
