According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method for manufacturing a press-molded article according to the present invention is for manufacturing a press-molded article having a top plate part 1 and a vertical wall part 5 continuous with the top plate part 1 via a ridge line part 3. The method comprises: a first step for molding a metal plate blank into an intermediate molded article 17 that has an intermediate top plate part 21 and an intermediate vertical wall part 25 continuous with the intermediate top plate part 21 via an intermediate ridge line part 23, with the intermediate top plate part 21 being provided with an uneven shape part 29; and a second step for crushing the uneven shape part 29 of the intermediate molded article 17 to form a press-molded article. In the second step, material flow that occurs by crushing the uneven shape part 29 pushes the material of the intermediate ridge line part 23 toward the vertical wall part 5 and provides a bend-back to the portion that used to be the intermediate ridge line part 23."
