MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517047041 A) filed by Annikki Gmbh, Raaba-Grambach, Austria, on May 15, for 'method for preparing an aqueous solution containing an alkali salt of glycolic acid and lactic acid.'
Inventor(s) include Staunig, Nicole; and Dupont, Maria.
The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a method for producing an aqueous solution containing alkaline salt of glycolic acid and lactic acid in that alkaline salt of xylonic acid and/or arbonic acid is treated with an enzyme system in vitro in an aqueous solution, said enzyme system containing dehydratase, aldolase, glycolaldehyde dehydrogenase, lactate dehydrogenase, and NAD+ as cofactors. The enzyme system is then separated."
The patent application was internationally filed on Oct. 20, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/079260.
