MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517052647 A) filed by Kollegger Gmbh, Klosterneuburg, Austria, on May 30, for 'method for producing a bridge from longitudinal beams and deck slab elements.'
Inventor(s) include Kollegger, Johann; Untermarzoner, Franz; and Rath, Michael.
The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to the production of a construction section of a bridge (21) from reinforced concrete or prestressed concrete with at least two longitudinal beams (11) and a deck slab (1), said method comprising the following steps: providing at least two longitudinal beams (11) made of reinforced concrete or prestressed concrete; installing the at least two longitudinal beams (11) at the installation location (23); providing deck slab elements (2); placing the deck slab elements (2) on the at least two longitudinal beams (11); laying a reinforcement on the deck slab elements (2) and over the deck plates (14) of the longitudinal beams; applying the concrete topping (9) to the deck slab elements (2) and the deck plates (14) of the longitudinal beams (11) to produce the deck slab (1); if necessary, repeating the steps in order to produce a further construction section of the bridge (21); wherein, at least at one butt joint (24) between two adjacent longitudinal beams (11) above a part of the base plate (13), a longitudinal reinforcement (32) crossing said at least one butt joint (24) is installed, and a layer (10) of concrete above the base plate (13) is produced in the region of the longitudinal reinforcement (32)."
