MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517071396 A) filed by Chevron Phillips Chemical Company Lp, The Woodlands, U.S.A., on July 28, for 'method for the preparation of alkenyl halides.'
Inventor(s) include Yang, Qing; Hinkle, Sierra N; Refvik, Mitchell D.; Lief, Graham R.; and Rose, Ryan N.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Alkenyl halides, such as an alkenyl bromide or an alkenyl chloride, are produced by a process that includes a step of forming a reaction mixture containing an alkyl dibromide or a chlorobromoalkane and an allylmagnesium bromide and/or an allylmagnesium chloride, and then producing the alkenyl halide in the reaction mixture."
The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 23, 2024, under International application No.PCT/US2024/012554.
