MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517072840 A) filed by Wilus Institute Of Standards And Technology Inc., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on July 31, for 'method for transmitting or receiving data by using transmission opportunity, and wireless communication terminal using same.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed are a method and a device for operating a non-AP station which communicates with an access point (AP). Specifically, a non-AP STA according to the present invention may obtain a transmission opportunity (TXOP) through a back off procedure, and transmit an initiation frame for sharing the obtained TXOP to an AP associated with the non-AP station. The initiation frame may include access category information indicating an access category (AC) according to the back off procedure. Thereafter, the non-AP STA may receive a specific frame for obtaining the TXOP from the associated AP on the basis of the initiation frame."
The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 29, 2024, under International application No.PCT/KR2024/001367.
