MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517050273 A) filed by Jfe Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on May 26, for 'method of surface processing of metal material, method of surface processing of metal sheet, and method of producing grain-oriented electrical steel sheet.'
Inventor(s) include Ichihara Yoshihisa; Omura Takeshi; Inoue Hirotaka; and Nakamura Koji.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is a means for suppressing a decrease in thermal strain when production line speed is increased and achieving both an increase in production efficiency and stabilization of iron loss improvement effects during operation. Said means is a method for processing the surface of a metal material or a metal sheet by irradiating an energy beam at the surface of the metal material or the metal sheet, wherein the energy beam is irradiated using at least two focus settings."
The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 23, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/001912.
