MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517058131 A) filed by Felixsonip B. V., Nootdorp, Netherlands, on June 17, for 'methods for transilluminating a light scattering carrier of information and processing of this information.'

Inventor(s) include Geluk, Ronald Jan.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Photographic film or microscopic objects are transilluminated with a rotating angular light flux of a high aperture ratio. This enables retrieving information with a higher spatial bandwidth than heretofore possible. Furthermore, this way of transilluminating reduces, both, image noise and aliasing at the sensor array. The fundamentally different way of extracting information provides an improved basis for digital restoration of photographic material. In microscopic applications scattering or fluorescent details can be better separated from transmitted image content."

The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 30, 2023, under International application No.PCT/NL2023/050626.
