MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517049774 A) filed by United Therapeutics Corporation, Spring, U.S.A., on May 23, for 'methods for treating pulmonary hypertension.'
Inventor(s) include Broderick, Meredith; and Nelsen, Andrew.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides for treating pulmonary hypertension by administering to a subject suffering from pulmonary hypertension a therapeutically effective amount of a non-oral therapeutic agent for treating pulmonary hypertension followed by an orally administered form of a therapeutic agent for treating pulmonary hypertension, wherein the amount of non-oral therapeutic agent is sufficient to allow for an increased amount of the orally administered therapeutic agent to thereafter be administered compared to a subject who is not previously treated with the non-oral therapeutic agent."
The patent application was internationally filed on Oct. 30, 2023, under International application No.PCT/US2023/036268.
