MUMBAI, India, Dec. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311037730 A) filed by Avanstrate Inc.; and Avanstrate Korea Inc., Tokyo, on June 1, 2023, for 'methods of manufacturing glass substrate for minimizing platinum inclusions and devices using the methods.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provide a method of manufacturing the glass substrate for minimizing platinum inclusions, which processing a molten glass through a processing device, at least a part of the processing device includes platinum group metal material, including the following steps: heating glass material to form the molten glass in a furnace; suppling the processing device with a high temperature region and a low temperature region; controlling the temperature difference of high temperature region being below 30 C, lowering the oxygen partial pressure in the high temperature region, and/or raising the oxygen partial pressure in the low temperature region; suppling the processed molten glass to a form device to form the glass substrate. The present invention also provide a device of manufacturing the glass substrate for minimizing platinum inclusions."
