MUMBAI, India, July 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541060215 A) filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medical And Technical Sciences, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on June 24, for 'microwave assisted hydrothermal synthesis of paramelaconite(cu4o3)nanoparticles for metronidazole(an.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Pitchaimani Veerakumar; Dr. Veeraragha Van Vishnu Priya; and Dr. Deepak Nallaswamy Veeraiyan.
The application for the patent was published on July 11, under issue no. 28/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to the green synthesis of PYP@Cu40 3 using MW-HT method at 120 C. The as-prepared PYP@Cu.03 was tested by XRD, FT-lR, FE-SEM, FE-TEM, - XPS, and UY-vis spectral techniques. The crystalline- nature-and -phase composition identification by.XRD.-The.morphology and particle size-were.characterized.by-FEoSEM, FE-TEM microscopic techniques. Higher catalytic activity was achieved by the synergistic effect of the PYP@Cu40 3 and the photo-oxidation rate was evaluated by UV -vis -spectroscopy.-This-reaction kinetics followed pseudo-first-order kinetics. -Apparent rate constant (kapp) is an important criterion for evaluating the catalytic rate. We assure that, this study can-provide .a-perspective. into. the .design of P,ll'@Cl4QLfor th_e_R_rofiq_iept Rho a water sourc."
