MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517051298 A) filed by Societe Des Produits Nestle S. A., Vevey, Switzerland, on May 28, for 'mirnas from a biological sample as indicators of stress in bovine.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates miRNA biomarkers from a biological sample, e.g. exosome- derived microRNA, as indicators of welfare in bovines. In particular, the present invention relates to the identification of heat stress in bovines allowing to propose management actions to improve productive animal welfare at the individual or the herd levels."
The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 15, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/086205.
