MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020727 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 19, 2024, for 'mobility assistive device for injured person.'

Inventor(s) include Hardeep Singh; Manjit Singh; Saumil Aggarwal; and Prabhdeep Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A mobility assistive device for injured person, comprising a pair of circular extendable bodies 1, associated with device developed to be accommodated around footwear of a user, a pair of rectangular members 2, two omnidirectional wheels 3 for allowing user to move on ground surface, a user-interface for enabling user to give input commands for securing bodies 1 around footwear, a laser acuity sensor for detecting dimensions of the footwear, a pair of telescopically operated links 5 attached with a pair of straps 6 for allowing the user to accommodate the straps 6 around legs, a laser sensor for detecting dimensions of user's legs, a motorized roller 7 rotates for wrapping the straps 6, an imaging unit 8 for detecting movement of user's legs and a telescopically operated rod 9 to extend for allowing user to grip a handle 10 attached with each rods 9 to lift legs."
