MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517066001 A) filed by Basf Se, Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Germany, on July 10, for 'modified asphalt compositions containing vinyl acetate latexes and methods for making same.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed herein are asphalt compositions containing a vinyl acrylic latex polymer additive. In some embodiments, the vinyl acrylic latex polymer may include a copolymer derived from: vinyl acetate; an acrylate monomer having a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 20 C or less; and water. Methods of making and using the asphalt compositions are also disclosed."
