MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018821 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'modular ergonomic furniture.'
Inventor(s) include Amit Kumar Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular ergonomic furniture comprises of, a frame 1 arranged with multiple legs 10 developed to be positioned on a ground surface of an enclosure, a seat 2 installed on the frame 1 to attain a seating posture on seat 2, a pair of hand rest 3 arranged on the frame 1 to rest their arm portion over hand rest 3, a L-shaped link 6 attached with the plate 5 and frame 1 for holding plate 5, three motorized ball and socket joints 7 that are configured in between frame 1, link 6 and plate 5 to position the plate 5 in front of the user, microphone 8 arranged on the plate 5 to input voice commands for affixing belongings on plate 5, and multiple suction units configured on each slot for affixing belongings in order to avoid any wobbling of the belongings from plate 5."
