MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024846 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'modular food preparation assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Baljinder Kaur; Dr. Radhika Giri; Aditya Tiwari; and Nikki Jha.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular food preparation assistive device, comprises of a handheld body having a proximal and distal end, proximal end is integrated with a handle 1 for acquiring a grip on the body, plurality of buttons 2 integrated on the body for selecting a mode of amalgamating, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on the body for capturing and processing multiple images, a disc 4 arranged at the distal end immersed in the stored ingredients, a speaker 5 is integrated on the body to produce audio notification, motorized ball and socket joints 6 integrated in between disc 4 and structures for blending the ingredients, plurality of motorized hinges 7 integrated in the structures to tilt portions of structure, a pair of motorized grippers 8 arranged on lateral sides of the disc 4 to extend for positioning a flap."
