MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411005481 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 27, 2024, for 'modular gas cylinder relocation device.'

Inventor(s) include Shivani Thakur; Aarju; Rohini; Meenakshi Garg; and Rini Saxena.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular gas cylinder relocation device, comprises a frame 1 having a platform 2 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, an imaging unit 3 detects location and dimensions of a gas cylinder, a rod 4 arranged on platform 2 to get extended as per determined dimensions, a motorized sliding unit 6 integrated on rod 4 to translate clamp along with sliding unit 6 to get oriented as per height of cylinder, an extendable clamp 5 is integrated on rod 4 to acquire a grip over cylinder, a weight sensor integrated on platform 2 monitors weight of cylinder, an odor sensor determines leakage of gas from cylinder, a speaker 7 produces audio alert to nearby people, a display panel 8 provides input where cylinder to be relocated, multiple motorized wheels 9 moves platform 2 on surface, a GPS module integrated on frame 1 for monitoring location of frame 1."
