MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020694 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'modular infant carrying assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Rajiv Dutta; Bhupendra Chauhan; Lomas Tomar; and Arif Naseer.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular infant carrying assistive device, comprises a body 1 having multiple compartments developed for storing different commodities within the body 1 in a segregated manner, a pair of looped straps integrated at back portion of the body 1 for engaging the body 1 on the user's shoulder, a touch interactive display panel 2 assembled on the body 1 for changing configuration of the body 1, a curved plate 3 is arranged at the back portion via a pair of telescopically operated rods 4 to get extended which results in deploying of a flexible sheet 5 integrated in between the rods 4 to form a sleeping bag for accommodating an infant, inflatable patches 6 fabricated on the sheet 5 to get inflated for providing comfort to the infant while infant lies on bed, and a speaker 8 integrated on the plate 3 to produce calming music for the infant."
