MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023493 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'modular serving tray.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular serving tray comprises a platform 1 fabricated with a pair of handles 2 accessed by a user, a pair of circular slots 3 arranged on the platform 1 for enabling the user to position a beaker on the slots 3, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 determine dimensions of the beaker, a motorized iris lid 7 allowing the beakers to get accommodated in the iris lid 7, an ultrasonic sensor embedded on the platform 1 for detecting liquid in the beaker, a L-shaped telescopically operated rod 6 installed on periphery of the platform 1 for positioning a circular lid 7 integrated on the rod 6 over mouth portion of the beaker, a motion sensor embedded on the platform 1 for detecting movement of the accommodated beaker. and a telescopically operated L-shaped link 8 for positioning a plate integrated with the link 8."
