MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020691 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'modular sunroof covering device for vehicles.'
Inventor(s) include Varun Bansal; Mamta Bansal; Rajesh Pandey; and Rajiv Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular sunroof covering device for vehicles, comprising a telescopically operated cuboidal shaped frame 1 installed on a sunroof slot, multiple suction cups 2 are arranged underneath frame 1 for affixing with vehicle's roof in order to mount frame 1 on roof, an ultrasonic sensor installed on frame 1 for detecting dimension of slot, multiple motorized sliding units 4 arranged on frame 1 for providing movement to multiple overlapped sheets, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 5 for capturing images of frame 1, a pair of telescopic bars 6 for extending to position a pair of C-shaped cushioned members 7 to grip waist portion of user, a sensing module installed on frame 1 for detecting speed of vehicle along with intensity of wind blowing in vicinity to frame 1 and a pair of telescopically operated clippers 9 for extending to deploy sheet in front of user."
