MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024703 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 27, 2024, for 'modular two-wheeler anti-theft assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Ashutosh Sharma; and Poonam Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular two-wheeler anti-theft assistive device comprises, a semicircular frame 1 installed with multiple suction cups 7 to adhere to the surface for securing the frame 1 on the surface, an ultrasonic sensor 1 for determining presence of a user in front of the frame 1, a motorized slider lid 2 to get translated in backward direction for opening the frame 1 in view of allowing the user to position a bicycle in the frame 1, a platform accessed by the user to accommodate first wheel of the bicycle on the platform, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit to determine distance of the first wheel from lateral ends of the platform, and a first C-shaped clipper to acquire a grip of the first wheel for accommodating the first wheel in the clipper."
