MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547098275 A) filed by Valeo Eautomotive Germany Gmbh, Erlangen, Germany, on Oct. 10, for 'module and method for supervising a voltage converter.'

Inventor(s) include Pierre, Thomas.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a supervision module (1) for supervising a voltage converter (2), the voltage converter (2) being intended to connect a rotating electric machine (3) to a DC voltage source (4), in particular to a first on-board electrical system, in particular a 48-V on-board electrical system, the supervision module (1) comprising: a measuring module for measuring the voltage of the DC voltage source (4), * a comparison module for comparing the voltage measured by the measuring module with a safety threshold, the comparison module being configured to send an overvoltage signal if the measured voltage is higher than the safety voltage, * a control unit configured to receive the overvoltage signal and to generate a self-start signal in the event of an overvoltage detected by the comparison module, * a microcontroller configured to restart the voltage converter (2) and supervise the voltage across the terminals of the capacitors (27) so as to avoid an overvoltage across the terminals of the capacitors (27)."

The patent application was internationally filed on Apr. 16, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/060314.
