MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024050 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 26, 2024, for 'monorail system for transporting objects.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Ashutosh Sharma; and Dr. Meenakshi Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A monorail system for transporting objects, comprising a monorail 1 affixed over a ground surface for transporting objects and configured with plurality of sections 2 each attached with each other via an electromagnetic lock, a platform 3 arranged over the monorail 1 by means of a pair of U-shaped frame 4 configured beneath the platform 3 that is accessed by a user to position the objects that are to be transported, a pair of double flanged wheels 5 installed with the frame 4 to provide translation to the platform 3 over the monorail 1, a chamber 6 arranged with the sections 2 to dispense sand over the monorail 1 to increase friction and reduce speed of the platform 3, speaker 7 installed over the platform 3 to inform the user and a robotic arm 8 installed with the platform 3 to remove obstacles."
