MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024165 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'mortar mixture spreading assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Ankush Jatt; Prabhjot Kaur; Kaushik Bharti; Swati Pathak; and Sourabh Dhiman.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A mortar mixture spreading assistive device comprises a curved body 1 1 positioned by a user, over a blade of a trowel that is to be utilized for leveling a mortar mixture, wherein a suction unit 2 installed over the body 1 to affix the body 1 with the blade, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed over the body 1 determines dimension of the blade, plurality of motorized hinge joints 4 installed in the body 1 and actuated by the microcontroller to regulate shape of the body 1, a microphone 5 installed over the body 1 to receive voice command of the user regrading dispensing of cement mix over the mortar mixture, and an electronic nozzle 6 installed over the body 1 and linked with a chamber 7 stored with the cement mix, to dispense a regulated amount of the cement mix."
