MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010809 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 16, 2024, for 'mosquito coil holding device.'

Inventor(s) include Shri Bhagwan.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a mosquito coil holding device, comprising a curved shaped frame 1 having a first and second portion, developed to be positioned inside an enclosure, a hook 3 attached with second portion accessed by user to engage a mosquito coil, multiple acoustic sensors installed on frame 1 for detecting mosquito presence around frame 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 7 installed on frame 1 for capturing and detecting presence of ash on first portion, a motorized roller 9 arranged on second portion and linked with imaging unit 7 for covering the frame 1 via a covering sheet 10 to prevent any risk of accident, in case child and pets is detected in vicinity to frame 1, and a microphone 11 installed on frame 1 for receiving user's input voice regarding time period upto which desired to ignite the coil."
