MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517064699 A) filed by Bridgestone Corporation, Tokyo, on July 7, for 'motorcycle tire.'

Inventor(s) include Ikuta Tomokatsu.

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is a motorcycle tire with which an improvement in braking performance is achieved by suppressing the occurrence of buckling when a brake is applied while traveling in a straight line. A front tire 10 for a motorcycle includes, as a skeleton, a carcass 1 that extends in a toroidal shape between a pair of bead portions 13, and is provided with a spiral belt 2 formed by winding a belt cord in a spiral shape in a circumferential direction of the tire on an outside of the carcass in a radial direction of the tire. The belt cord has a 1 N structure, and an elongation when a load of 50 N is applied to the belt cord that has been extracted from the tire is 0.3 to 0.85%."

The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 18, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/029796.
