MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013457 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'mountable sand sieving device for heavy vehicles.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A mountable sand sieving device for heavy vehicles, comprising a cuboidal hollow body 1 installed on trailer portion of a heavy vehicle, a camera 2 installed on the body 1 for capturing multiple images of surroundings, plurality of electromagnets 3 configured with the body 1 for adhering the body 1 on the trailer portion in a secured manner, a set of motorized hinges 6 incorporated between the members 4 and sliders 3 for tilting and deploying a member 4 on the top portion, a speaker 7 mounted on the body 1 for notifying the user to transfer the sand on the sieve 5, a vibrating unit configured with the sieve 5 for generating vibrational sensations for sieving the sand, a pair of motorized sliding units 8 integrated with a plate 9 for translating the plate 9 to cover the top portion of the body 1."
