MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341002036 A) filed by Ordnance Factory Medak, Yeddumailaram, Telangana, on Jan. 10, 2023, for 'mounting fixtures for fire wire of instant fire detection and suppression system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to mounting fixtures for fire wire of Instant Fire Detection and Suppression System (IFDSS). The invention provides three types of mounting fixtures for fire wire of Instant Fire Detection and Suppression System (IFDSS). The three types of mounting fixtures are mounting fixture assembly - 02 (used near oil tank on bustle plate); mounting fixture assembly - 03 (used on RH plate near oil tank); and mounting fixture assembly - 04 (used on rear bulk head). The fire wire is mounted on these fixtures. Particularly, the present invention provides an alternate design of fitment without compromising the performance of fire wire with minimum thickness and width for light weight. These mounting fixtures of the present invention slide down near the engine compartment and are fixed with a minimum number of bosses which will help to reduce the replacement time of the fire wire and the maintenance will be very easy."
