MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611025372 A) filed by Rayat Bahra University; Rayat Bahra Professional University; and Bahra University, Greater Mohali, Punjab, on March 3, for 'multi-functional lipstick application device.'

Inventor(s) include Muteeb Zehra; Ankush Kumar; Raibarinder Singh; Maninder Pal Singh; and Renu Diwedi.

The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A multi-functional lipstick application device, comprising a cylindrical body 101, a reflective concave mirror 102 to enhance magnification during cosmetic application and correction, a plurality of liquid lipstick storage compartments 104 for storing a distinct lipstick shade, a dispensing assembly 105 to extend out the lipstick outwardly from the body 101 for direct application, an input means 106 to receive user input regarding requirement of a particular shade, a liquid remover module 107 to emit a controlled mist of the remover liquid, an imaging unit 111 to capture images of user's lip area for identifying excess cosmetic material beyond a predefined lip boundary, a linear actuator 105a to extend and retract an applicator foam 105c through an opening in the body 101, and at least one auxiliary storage section 112 for storing consumable cosmetic accessories, selected from cotton patches and moisturizer."
