MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511126315 A) filed by Raghav Productivity Solutions Private Limited, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Dec. 13, 2025, for 'multi-layered rod magnet separation system for silo discharge.'
Inventor(s) include Sanjay Kabra.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Multi-Layered Rod Magnet Separation System for Silo Discharge A multi-layered rod magnet separation system is disclosed for removing magnetic contaminants from granular materials, such as quartzite grains, at silo discharge points in industrial processing lines like ramming mass production. The system features vertically stacked trays positioned below a silo's screw discharge mechanism, each containing horizontally arranged rod magnets that divert the falling material's path for sequential exposure and enhanced contaminant capture. In a preferred embodiment, three trays are used, with top and bottom trays holding four magnets each and the middle tray holding three, where magnets are approximately 25 mm in diameter and 250-280 mm in length, preferably rare-earth types. Purified material falls onto a conveyor for downstream transport, while trays are individually removable for cleaning every 15 minutes without interrupting flow. The system integrates with multi-stage silo architectures, complementing upstream processing to ensure high purity. A corresponding method involves sequential path alteration through the layers for contaminant removal and continuous operation."
