MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202431016373 A) filed by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, New Delhi, on March 7, 2024, for 'multi-phase electrical machines.'
Inventor(s) include G Sobha Rani; and Uday Kumar Mudhigollam.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This invention relates to Multi-phase electrical machines comprises of Windings /connection rings placed on both sides of stator core inside the stator frame by aligning the center of stator core with the center of bearings. Ending bars of winding sets/few phases are connected to neutral rings on one side and starting bars of remaining winding sets/remaining phases are connected to the neutral rings on the other side. The invention increases the ease of accessibility and ease of maintenance of connection rings in the multiphase machine. Size of the machine can also be optimized."
