MUMBAI, India, July 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521059429 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on June 20, for 'multimodal ergonomic input device.'
Inventor(s) include Ayush Gour; and Dr. Sanket Badiyani.
The application for the patent was published on July 11, under issue no. 28/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A multimodal ergonomic input device is comprising, a handheld unit 101 with an ergonomic shape conforming to a user's palm, featuring at least one clickable button 102, a platform 103 interfaces with the handheld unit 101 and includes suction units 104 at its base for stable surface adherence, an imaging unit 105 monitors screen activity and user behavior in real time, at least one solenoid actuator 106, coupled with the click buttons, automates clicking, a thermal regulation unit 109 with a temperature sensor 109a and Peltier unit 109b maintains optimal cushion padding 110 temperature, the platform 103 integrates a ball transfer conveyor 111 with rotating ball elements and touch sensors for cursor control, a motorized gear train scrolls via gestures, a health monitoring unit 113 provides real-time analytics, a thermocouple triggers a cooling fan 115 based on heat feedback."
