MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611023611 A) filed by Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 27, for 'multiparticulate pellets with dual- release profiles for combination therapy.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Charu Saxena.

The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an innovative multiparticulate pellet system engineered for combination therapy, characterized by dual-release characteristics. The system has both immediate-release and sustained-release pellets, which allow for regulated delivery of one or more medications in a single oral dose form. Immediate-release pellets work quickly, while sustained-release pellets work over a longer period. This method makes it easier for patients to follow their treatment plan, cuts down on the number of doses they need to take, and improves the results of their treatment. The pellets are made using methods that can be scaled up and repeated, and their performance is tested using in-vitro dissolution studies, stability tests, and content uniformity analysis. The dual-release approach is a good place to start for making pharmaceutical medicines that are effective, safe, and can be sold."
