MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202243012478 A) filed by Shyam S Rami, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on March 8, 2022, for 'navigation frame and vehicle.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed herein is a winged external guidance frame (101) placed on the muzzle that can couple with a projectile (102) while exiting the barrel utilizing the kinetic energy of the projectile to travel to the target while the accuracy is provided by on board electronics and corrected using the wings. The external frame (101) has trapping mechanism in the rear (411) and the sides (412) as shown in FIG. 4(c) which tightly grip the projectile and act as brakes on the spinning projectile. Bearing mechanism may also be provided within the external guidance frame such that the spinning projectile does not damage the receiving frame."
