MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531011918 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 12, for 'neck supporting device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Bhabani Sankar Mohanto.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A neck supporting device, comprising a cylindrical flap 101 configured with drawer mechanism 102 for enabling an adjustment of diameter of said flap 101 as per dimensions of neck of user, a cushioned layer infused with a hot/cold gel for comfort of said user, air blower unit installed with said flap 101 and conduits are provided with a plurality of holes for providing ventilation to user's neck, curved rectangular plates 103 attached with said flap 101 by means of a plurality of springs 104 mounted on sliding units 105 installed on lateral surface of said flap 101 for providing surfaces for resting of head of the user, cushioned padding for comfort of the user, heating elements 106 for raising temperature of said flap 101 and plates 103 and a vibration unit 107 to provide haptic feedback to the user regarding correcting their posture."
