MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517014676 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Feb. 20, for 'negative electrode active material, negative electrode, secondary battery, and method for producing negative electrode active material.'

Inventor(s) include Lee, Sang Hyun; Kim, Donghyuk; Lee, Su Min; and Lee, Yong Ju.

The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The negative electrode active material according to the present invention comprises: silicon-based particles; and silicon carbide dispersed in the silicon-based particles, wherein the silicon carbide is included in an amount of at least 0.1 parts by weight and at most 1 part by weight based on 100 parts by weight in total of the negative electrode active material."
