MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517096592 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd.; and Korea Advanced Institute Of Science And Technology, Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Oct. 7, for 'negative electrode for lithium-free secondary battery and lithium-free secondary battery comprising the same.'
Inventor(s) include Kim, Sanha; Won, Dongyeon; and Yang, Inyeong.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an anode for a lithium-free secondary battery capable of improving electrochemical characteristics and lifespan characteristics of a lithium-free secondary battery, a manufacturing method therefor and a lithium-free secondary battery. The anode may comprise: a conductive metal layer; and a lithium electrodeposition induction layer formed on the conductive metal layer and including an intermetallic compound in which copper and zinc are bonded."
