MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411011273 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 19, 2024, for 'newspaper storage device.'
Inventor(s) include Sunil Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A newspaper storage device comprising of a platform 1 developed to be adhered over a fixed surface and attached with a cuboidal body 2, the body 2 is integrated with multiple cylindrical members 3 via multiple pneumatic pins links 4 developed to store newspapers of different dates in a segregated and continuous manner, a camera 5 for detecting presence of newspapers within members 3, a motorized iris lid 6 for gripping newspapers within members 3 in a secured manner, a touch enabled screen 7 to select a date for which newspaper is required, a curved unit 8 configured with body 2 via a motorized pivot joint 9 for tilting and deploying unit 8 in view of covering a top portion of body 2 in order to prevent any chances of damage to newspapers by insects/animals."
