MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517044943 A) filed by Catalog Technologies Inc., Charlestown, U.S.A., on May 9, for 'noise reduction for data storage in dna.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Technologies for writing information into a nucleic acid sequence include: determining a string of symbols to represent said information; constructing a plurality of components wherein each individual component of said plurality of components is a nucleic acid molecule having a nucleic acid sequence a 3 end and a 5 end; chemically linking together two or more components of said plurality of components thereby generating a plurality of identifiers each identifier of said plurality of identifiers comprising two or more components wherein an individual identifier of said plurality of identifiers corresponds to an individual symbol in said string of symbols; and removing incompletely assembled products and/or blocking extension from non primer DNA molecules."
