MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517041251 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on April 29, for 'non-aqueous electrolyte and lithium secondary battery including same.'
Inventor(s) include Cho, Yoon Gyo; Lee, Jung Min; Lee, Chul Haeng; Lee, Kyung Mi; Baek, Ga Young; Ji, Su Hyeon; and Yeom, Chul Eun.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a lithium secondary battery comprising: an anode comprising a silicon-based anode active material; a cathode; a separator; and a non-aqueous electrolyte, wherein the non-aqueous electrolyte comprises: a lithium salt; an organic solvent; a compound of chemical formula 1 as a first additive; and a compound of chemical formula 2 as a second additive. [Chemical formula 1] In chemical formula 1, R is an alkylene group which can be substituted with fluorine and has 1 to 5 carbon atoms, and R1 to R3 are each independently any one selected from the group consisting of H, an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, and a nitrile group. [Chemical formula 2] In chemical formula 2, R4 to R7 are each independently any one selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group which can be substituted with fluorine and has 1 to 10 carbon atoms and an alkenyl group which can be substituted with fluorine and has 2 to 10 carbon atoms."
The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 05, 2024, under International application No.PCT/KR2024/002782.
