MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611025371 A) filed by Rayat Bahra University; Rayat Bahra Professional University; and Bahra University, Greater Mohali, Punjab, on March 3, for 'non-invasive thought recognition system of patients with motor neuron disorders.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A non-invasive thought recognition system of patients with motor neuron disorders (MND), the system comprising a bed-shaped arrangement, a plurality of hydraulic actuators 105 to control position, tilt, and recline, a plurality of omni-directional motorized wheels 104 with shock absorber for safe movement over uneven surfaces, a foam mattress 106 to adjust automatically to support the patient's spine, hips, and limbs for long-term comfort, an adjustable links 107 to enable repositioning of the sections of the mattress 106 to optimize seating or lying posture, a bed 101 transformation arrangement to enable transformation into a wheelchair, a sliding cavity to enable a walking platform 120 to extend to the front of the bed 101, and an L-shaped link 109 with a dual-axial sliding rail 110 to allow adjustable movement and precise positioning of the patient's body parts during walking exercise."
