MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517051781 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on May 29, for 'nonaqueous electrolyte and lithium secondary battery comprising same.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a nonaqueous electrolyte comprising: a lithium salt; an organic solvent; a compound, as a first additive, represented by chemical formula 1; and a compound, as a second additive, represented by chemical formula 2 or chemical formula 3. [Chemical formula 1] In chemical formula 1, R is any one selected from among a C1-C5 perfluoroalkyl group, a C2-C10 alkenyl group, and a C2-C10 alkynyl group. [Chemical formula 2] In chemical formula 2, R1 is a C1-C3 alkylene group that can be substituted with fluorine, and R2 to R4 are each independently any one selected from the group consisting of H, a C1-C3 alkyl group, and a nitrile group. [Chemical formula 3] In chemical formula 3, R5 is a C1-C8 alkylene group that can be substituted with fluorine, and R6 is any one selected from the group consisting of H, a C1-C10 alkyl group, and a C3-C8 cycloalkyl group."
