MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441013351 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 23, 2024, for 'nose care device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sonal Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A nose care device, comprises of a curved-shaped extendable body 1 configured with a first and a second U-shaped members 2, 3 inserted into nostrils of a user, an ultrasonic sensor to detect dimensions of the user's nose, an air flow sensor to detect air flow rate during breathing by the user, a camera 5 to detect presence of mucus into the user's nostrils, a robotic arm 6 installed with a motorized roller 7 wrapped with tissue papers 8 to collect mucus on the tissue papers 8 and clean the nostrils, a telescopically operated gripper 9 configured on the body 1 to remove the wet tissue paper and the members 2, 3 pull back and allowing cleaning of another nostril."
