MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010070 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'object clamping device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Naresh Pratap.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An object clamping device comprises of a frame 1 having a pair of circular plates 2 to accommodate an object connected with a string installed with a fixed surface, a handle 3 for providing grip to user to place frame 1 on object, a primary touch sensor for detecting accommodation of object between plates 2, a primary hinge joint 4 for providing movement to plates 2 for successfully gripping of object, pair of semi-circular flaps 5 enabling user to place string inside flaps 5, a secondary touch sensor for detecting placement of string inside flaps 5, a secondary hinge joint 6 for providing movement to flaps 5 for securing string between flaps 5, along with detecting hardness and material-type via tactile sensor and laser proximity sensor, an electromagnetic latch 7 for magnetizing/ demagnetizing in order to open or close plates 2 that results in securing of object between plates 2."
