MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531019849 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 5, for 'object collection assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An object collection assistive device, comprising an extendable body 101 positioned towards multiple objects scattered on a ground/fixed surface, an imaging unit 103 integrated in the body 101 to determine presence of the objects, a pair of C-shaped plates 104 arranged on the body 101 via an extendable rod 105 for positioning the plates 104 on the objects for grabbing the object, plurality of electromagnets 106 arranged on the body 101 to collect the metallic objects, a rectangular frame 107 arranged on the body 101 to provide downward translation to the frame 107 for pushing and detaching the attracted objects into the user-desired place, a speaker 109 mounted on the body 101 to produce audio signals for guiding the user, a pair of telescopically operated L-shaped poles 110 linked with motorized wheels arranged on mid length of the body 101 to support the body 101 while transferring the objects."
