MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019388 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'object covering device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An object covering device, comprising an inverted U-shaped telescopic frame 1 on a ground surface, multiple supporting rods 2 for providing support to the frame 1, motorized wheel 3 for providing movement to the frame 1, an AI-based imaging unit 4 for capturing images of surrounding of the frame 1, a touch interactive display panel 5 to display a map and accessed by a user to specify a portion or object that the user wishes to cover, a motorized spindle 6 to unwrap a sheet that is pre-wrapped around the spindle 6, a pair of motorized hinge joints 7 for providing movement to a U-shaped member 8 to deploy the sheet over the object and a pair of pneumatic piston 9 for extending and retracting to assist the member 8 while deploying the sheet."
