MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531019838 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 5, for 'object holding assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An object holding assistive device, comprising a U-shaped frame 101 crafted from multiple plates 102, designed to be comfortably gripped by a user, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 104 to detect precise position of the object in relation to the platform, a speaker 105 to generate clear and concise audible instructions, a LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) sensor to detect the shape and dimensions of the object, multiple motorized hinges 106 to provide angular movement to the plates 102, multiple pop-out balls 107 to facilitate smooth accommodation of the frame 101 onto the object, an inflating unit paired with the inflatable member to expand the member to provide an additional layer of security and stability, a pair of motorized clamps 108 to grip the utensil."
