MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411014270 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'object holding device.'

Inventor(s) include Preeti; Priyanka; Anup Kumar; and Ashish Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An object holding device, comprising an expandable platform 1 positioned over space between center console and passenger seat of a four wheeler, a pair of plates 2 are attached beneath lateral sides of platform 1 interconnected by means of a hinge joint 9 installs platform 1, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 3 to determine presence of an object present in proximity to platform 1, an ultrasonic sensor determines dimension of object, two vertical flaps 4 configured with a motorized siding unit 5 and plurality of rectangular shaped between sliding unit 5 segregates space over platform 1 into multiple sections, a plurality of rectangular shaped members 6 segregates space over platform 1 into multiple sections, a tactile sensor monitors hardness of object, an odor sensor monitors odor emitted by object and a speaker 7 notify said user regrading discarding of said rotten object."
