MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531019212 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 4, for 'object relocating assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Trushna Parida.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An object relocating assistive device, comprising a L-shaped extendable platform 101 positioned over a ground in proximity to staircase, wheels 102 each installed with lateral ends of the platform 101, imaging unit 103 for capturing images of object, a drawer arrangement integrated in platform 101 to provide appropriate extension and retraction to platform 101, a cylindrical shaft 104 connected beneath platform 101 to provide rotation to shaft 104 on axis in order to provide rotation to a pair of hydraulic bars 105 to position the platform 101 in proximity to the staircase, a laser sensor synced with the imaging unit 103 to determine dimensions of riser and tread of the staircase, hydraulic bars 105 to extend to apply force over the treads to enable the platform 101 to climb over the staircase, a speed sensor to monitor rotational speed of the wheels 102 and shaft 104."
